Late night fretless improv over drones
Переглядів 4617 років тому
The new Patriots Day sound track from Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross is ridiculously good. I felt inspired, picked up my fretless for the first time in a while and experimented with melodic ideas over these amazing synth drones and soundscapes. The song is called "We Forget Who We Are" Recorded trough the camera mic at 12:07 am on Wednesday May 17, 2017. Gary Willis Fretless from 2001.

    Hi man, thanks for this great video! I have an issue I'd like to get insights on: I have 2 identical MIDI MIX connected to my Mac. How can I send different info on both these similar MIDI MIXES? I keep having the issue of moving one fader in Ableton (ex: CC23) and it automatically affects the other knob also triggered by CC23 on the other midi mixer. Any solutions? thanks!!

    Loved this. Thanks. I get a crackling sound sometimes in between, when I play, especially for some fast tempo melodies...any hint to resolve the crackling? I chose ASIO drivers for Audio in my Ableton 10 Intro. Thanks in advance.

      Check your buffer, put it on 256 or 512. HTH

      @shreepadgandhi6739 11 місяців тому

      @@GarryGnu Thanks for your reply. Have found a workaround. I connect my Focusrite audio interface and choose that driver. The issue is resolved because choosing this driver means the computer soundcard is freed from DAW running and the driver gets utilised only for DAW sound processing. So even the latency experience is within acceptable levels. Thanks again. 😀 I use Arturia minilab and Native Instruments M32.

    Any suggestions for running a drum module AND and keyboard controller? As in how to route the actual midi cables…. The midi through on the keyboard didn’t do the trick. I’m thinking I need a midi interface with multiple inputs to merge the midi from my keyboard and drum machine. Thanks

    It’s like 2 pedals in 1, I don’t have the wet and dry on with each other, either it’s all fuzz or just a clean boost, the fuzz sounds great with guitar too especially into a crunchy amp

    Thanks for making the video, I just got ANOTHER set of Mogami Gold's (I think this makes my 4th) and know they are worth it. Caveat for anyone reading this and listening, the speakers vs studio monitors you're listening on make a BIG difference also. Thanks again Jeff :) What did you think after you listened?

    I have to agree with some of the others. I like the sound of the original configuration better, both the P and Jazz pickups. There’s a warmth and fullness with the originals that seems to be missing from the replacements.

    Great review but please know that I personally play with neither the tone all the way up nor with it all the way down. So, just suggesting that you vary the tone control a bit for different tastes. You're a wonderful player!
